Y seguramente se quedaron cortos. Tú estas cosas no las tomes al pie de la letra. Ahora mismo en España, parece que se ha detenido un poco lo de las separaciones y divorcios, pero hasta hace muy poco, éstas casi superaban a las bodas. Y eso sin salir de aquí.

Supongo que la cifra de 500.000, a pesar de aparecer en el Whasington Post, se refiere a la población de la India de unos 1.100.000.000 personas. A mi realmente me parecen pocos. A ver si se multiplica esa cifra y se desaparecen aberraciones (a pesar de la diferencia cultural) como la compra de mujeres concertadas

Ayer estuve viendo un reportaje en la 2 que iba con el tema de tradiciones, en Bombay. La verdad es que viven peor que los animales. Casas con dos o tres mujeres que hacen el papel de esposas, doce o catorce hijos, viviendo hacinados en sobretechos y tejados. Yo no entiendo que aquí no sólo sea aconsejable si no exigible una planificación familiar. Pero a lo mejor con esto ya nos salimos del asunto.

La verdad que hay tradiciones y costumbres de otros países que nos resultan difíciles de asimilar desde nuestra perspectiva.
Igual que algunas costumbres del Islam, orientales,etc.

Por lo menos esta chica pudo escapar. Pero lo de la niña mauritana que casaron a la fuerza y los otros miles de casos similares que ocurren en el mundo musulmán tiene poca gracia.

Cuantas cosas por arreglar. Las tradiciones, casi siempre de índole religioso, no son más que asideros para seguir manteniendo el statu quo... sin sentido alguno.
